About Aura Games Lab

Aura Games Lab is a small, independent game studio. We design and build our own browser games from scratch. They're free to play and instant in your browser, and we make every one of them ourselves.

Who we are

Aura Games Lab was founded by Tombar, an independent game developer based in Israel, and everything you play here is designed, coded, drawn and written in-house. We've been making browser games for years. Some of it started on our own sites: CellSnake — Neon Genesis, a fast slither-arena, and Voltex, a neon territory-capture arcade. Those earlier builds are where a lot of what shapes the games here was first worked out. The rest we built to run directly on this page: Aura Dash, Neon Stack, Echo, Flux, Nova, Ionizer and Pest Wipeout. No downloads, no plugins, no third-party sites. Just our games, one click away.

You can reach Tombar directly at hello@auragameslab.com — the same person who built the game you just played reads and answers it.

Why the site exists

Most "free games" sites are a wall of identical thumbnails pulled from everywhere, with copied one-line blurbs. We wanted the opposite: a small shelf of games we actually designed and coded, each one polished until it earns its place. Quality over quantity. A short list we can stand behind beats a thousand pages we've never opened.

How we build

Years of making games taught us what separates a game you close after thirty seconds from one you keep open for an hour: how it feels. Every original here is tuned for it, with responsive controls, synthesized sound, screen shake, particles, and that "one more go" loop. We sweat the details most sites skip, because feel is the whole game. You can read more about our approach in how we build browser games.

The standard we hold

We started Aura Games Labin 2026 with a deliberately small catalog: a shelf of original games and a growing set of in-depth guides, each one written from the game's own code and from hours of actually playing it. Every original shares one spine. Synthesized sound with no audio files, real neon glow, screen shake and particles on the moments that should land, and a difficulty curve tuned for "one more go." The whole library feels like it came from a single studio because it did. We keep going back to sharpen what's already here instead of racing to pad the count, and when a game or a guide isn't good enough yet, we say so plainly in its verdict rather than hide it. If you want to see how we grade our own work, read how we review games.
