Neon Stack is the shortest loop we could build that still hides a real decision inside it. A glowing slab slides left to right, you tap or hit space to drop it, and anything hanging past the block underneath gets sliced away. You begin flush and generous: the base slab is 52% of the play area, capped at 280px. From there every slab either spends that width or claws some back. The genre is the old tower-stacker, no secret about that. What we actually chased was the recovery rule and the exact weight of the drop in your hand.

Everything hinges on a 6-pixel window. Drop within it of dead-centre and the slab snaps flush to the one below, returns up to 4px of lost width, and bumps your combo. Miss centre and you keep only the overlap, the combo falls to zero, and the tower narrows toward nothing. Speed starts at 3.4px a frame and adds 0.16 per slab up to a hard 8.5, and by then that 6px window is barely wider than a single frame. It is why our own tip tells you to release a hair before the slab looks centred: late in a run you are outrunning your reaction lag, not the slab. Scoring leans the same way. A perfect pays 1 plus your current combo, so five clean drops in a row bury any lucky single, and the board answers by glowing brighter per perfect until a combo past 5 tips the whole thing into an overdrive bloom.

The touch we are quietly fond of is the dashed BEST line. Score outruns rows, so we track your best physical height in rows separately and paint it across the board as a target; the slab that finally clears it flips the line from cyan to gold and the tower throws a little party. The flaws are two, and both are ours to own. The game-over card calls your number 'Height', but that figure carries combo bonuses, so it is not the row count the ghost line measures. And difficulty only ever changes pace, never shape, so a long run is the same test looping faster. We knew both when we shipped, because the twenty-second version of this is genuinely hard to set down.

Once a tower gets thin, play safe for overlap rather than greedy for a perfect.
The combo counter rewards consecutive perfects — a clean streak is worth far more than any single lucky drop.
