About Checkers
Checkers (Draughts) is the elegant board classic of diagonal moves and chained jumps. Capture your opponent's pieces, push to the back row to crown a king, and out-think your way to the board. Quick to learn, surprisingly deep.
How to play
Click a piece, then a dark square to move diagonally. Jump over an opponent's piece to capture it, and reach the far side to crown a king.
Tips & strategy
- Control the center to keep your options open.
- Force trades when you're ahead in pieces.
- Keep a back row to stop the opponent crowning kings.
- Set up double and triple jumps to capture several at once.
